Resident Evil Requiem – PS5

The ninth mainline chapter, marking 30 years of survival horror — Resident Evil Requiem delivers dual-perspective terror through both a new investigator and a returning franchise icon.

Product Description

Resident Evil Requiem was developed and published by Capcom, releasing on February 27, 2026, as the ninth mainline entry in the series and a flagship release marking the franchise's 30th anniversary. Built on Capcom's proprietary RE Engine, it's the studio's most current-generation-focused entry to date, launching exclusively on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2, and PC, with no last-generation console release.

The story returns players to a Midwestern American city built around the former headquarters of the fictional pharmaceutical company Umbrella, told through two intertwined perspectives: Grace Ashcroft, an FBI analyst navigating tense, stealth-driven survival horror sequences, and Leon S. Kennedy, the long-running franchise mainstay, delivering more combat-forward, action-oriented gameplay. This dual-character structure blends the series' older, more atmospheric horror roots with its more recent action-leaning entries. The game generated significant early buzz, winning four awards at Gamescom 2025 ahead of its release, and Capcom has emphasized major advances in graphical fidelity and character emotional performance capture as key pillars of the release.
