Battlefield 6 – PS5

A deliberate return to the series' roots — Battlefield 6 brings back grounded, tactical combat and a full single-player campaign after 2042's multiplayer-only approach.

Product Description

Battlefield 6 was developed by Battlefield Studios — a collective banner uniting DICE, Criterion Games, Motive Studio, and Ripple Effect Studios — and published by Electronic Arts, releasing in October 2025 as the eighteenth mainline entry in the series. Set in a near-future conflict between a fractured NATO and a private military company called Pax Armata, the game deliberately draws influence from earlier fan-favorite entries Battlefield 3 and Battlefield 4, aiming for a more serious tone and grounded, tactical gameplay compared to 2042.

The game reintroduces the traditional four-class system (Assault, Engineer, Support, Recon), restores a full single-player campaign led by Motive Studio (the team behind Star Wars: Battlefront II and the Dead Space remake), and includes an updated Battlefield Portal map/mode editor alongside a free-to-play battle royale mode called Battlefield RedSec. The developers revisited classic maps like Strike at Karkand and Caspian Border for design inspiration. Reception at launch was mixed among user reviews on some platforms, though overall reception has trended more positive over time as the game received post-launch refinement.
