Halo: Campaign Evolved – PS5

Halo makes its historic debut on PlayStation — Halo: Campaign Evolved rebuilds the genre-defining original from the ground up, marking the first mainline Halo game ever released on Sony hardware.

Product Description

Halo: Campaign Evolved was developed by Halo Studios (the rebranded and restructured team formerly known for the series' Slipspace Engine work) and published by Xbox Game Studios, launching simultaneously on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on July 28, 2026. It's a ground-up remake of Halo: Combat Evolved's original campaign, rebuilt on Unreal Engine 5 with reimagined and expanded missions, upgraded visuals, re-recorded dialogue with the original voice cast, and new mechanics and narrative touches incorporating elements introduced across later Halo titles.

The story follows Master Chief John-117 and the crew of the UNSC Pillar of Autumn after crash-landing on a mysterious ring world, accompanied by the AI Cortana, as they uncover a threat to all life in the galaxy while battling the alien Covenant. Notably, this release commemorates the franchise's 25th anniversary and represents Halo's first-ever appearance on PlayStation hardware, a landmark platform shift for a series historically tied to Xbox. The game is campaign-focused, supporting up to four-player online co-op and two-player split-screen, but does not include the competitive multiplayer or ranked infrastructure historically associated with the series.
