JBL Bar 800MK2 7.1 Channel Soundbar with Detachable Surround Speakers

Genuine JBL | 2.1 Channel System | Dedicated Subwoofer for Deep Bass

The JBL 2.1 MK2 is a compact speaker system built around two main speakers and a dedicated subwoofer, designed to deliver noticeably deeper, fuller bass than a TV's built-in speakers or a basic stereo pair. Available in Kenya from Mega Store Kenya as an authentic JBL product, this page is for buyers searching "JBL 2.1 MK2 Kenya," "speakers with subwoofer Nairobi," "TV speaker system Kenya," or "JBL 2.1 price."

What "2.1" Means

It's worth explaining this plainly: the "2" refers to two main speakers handling the bulk of the sound, while the ".1" refers to a separate subwoofer unit dedicated specifically to low bass frequencies. Splitting bass duty off to its own speaker, rather than asking two small main speakers to handle everything, is precisely why 2.1 systems deliver noticeably richer, deeper sound than a simple stereo pair of similar size.

A Genuine Step Up From TV Speakers

Most television built-in speakers are thin and tinny by necessity, since there's limited physical space inside a slim TV for proper speaker drivers. The JBL 2.1 MK2 connects to your TV and immediately improves dialogue clarity, music, and movie sound, with the dedicated subwoofer adding impact to action scenes, music, and games that a TV alone simply cannot reproduce.

Simple Setup

It's designed to be considerably simpler to set up than a full surround system, with two main speakers and one subwoofer rather than the five speakers and extensive cable runs a true 5.1 system like Logitech's Z906 requires, making it a sensible middle ground between a basic soundbar and a full home theatre setup.

Who the JBL 2.1 MK2 Is Right For

Buyers wanting noticeably better TV sound without a full surround system.

Music listeners wanting fuller bass from a compact, simple-to-set-up system.

Gamers wanting more impactful sound without extensive speaker wiring.

JBL 2.1 MK2 vs a Full Surround System

A 2.1 system is simpler and more compact but doesn't deliver the same all-around surround immersion as a true 5.1 system. If genuine cinema-style surround sound matters most to you, a 5.1 system is worth considering instead.
