Amazon Fire 7 Kids Pro Tablet

Genuine Amazon | 7-Inch Kids Tablet | Kid-Proof Case | Parental Controls

The Amazon Fire 7 Kids Pro is a small, affordable tablet built for children, with a protective case and parental controls. Available in Kenya from Mega Store Kenya as an authentic Amazon product, this page is for parents searching "Amazon Fire 7 Kids Pro Kenya," "kids tablet Nairobi," "cheap tablet for children Kenya," or "Fire kids tablet price."

Read this first: no Google Play Store

Fire tablets run Amazon's Fire OS and use the Amazon Appstore, not the Google Play Store. That has real consequences:

• Many Google apps aren't available, including YouTube, which is a Google app. Reviewers also note that installing the Play Store is an unofficial workaround that updates can block and that can interfere with parental controls.
• Amazon's own services work well, such as Kindle books, Prime Video and Amazon Music, along with many popular apps from the Appstore.

If your child needs particular apps, check that they're on the Amazon Appstore before you buy.

Key specs at a glance

Figures come from retailer listings and tablet guides. I could not verify every detail of the Fire 7 Kids Pro. Ask our team to confirm the exact generation, storage, what's in the box and any included warranty or subscription, because these vary between Fire 7 kids editions and by country.

About Amazon Kids+

Many Fire kids tablets are sold with a free trial of Amazon Kids+, a children's content subscription. Availability of Amazon Kids+ varies by country, so ask us whether it works in Kenya before you count on it.

Who it's for

Parents who want an affordable, sturdy first tablet.

Families that mainly want reading, video and simple games.

Fire 7 Kids Pro vs Fire 10 Kids Pro

The Fire 10 Kids Pro, also in our range, has a larger 10.1-inch Full HD screen and is aimed at ages 6 to 12. The Fire 7 is smaller, lighter and costs less.
