Amazon Fire HD 10 Tablet 32GB

Genuine Amazon | 10.1-Inch Full HD | 3GB RAM | Expandable Storage

The Amazon Fire HD 10 is a large, affordable tablet for reading, watching video and light browsing. Available in Kenya from Mega Store Kenya as an authentic Amazon product, this page is for shoppers searching "Amazon Fire HD 10 Kenya," "cheap 10 inch tablet Nairobi," "tablet for Kindle and Netflix Kenya," or "Fire HD 10 price."

Read this first: no Google Play Store

The Fire HD 10 runs Amazon's Fire OS and uses the Amazon Appstore, not the Google Play Store. Reviewers call this the main drawback of every Fire tablet. Google apps such as YouTube aren't available as native apps, and installing the Play Store is an unofficial workaround that software updates can block. Amazon's own services work well: Kindle books, Prime Video and Amazon Music. Check that the apps you need are on the Amazon Appstore before you buy. If you need the full Android app catalogue, a Samsung or similar Android tablet is the better choice.

Key specs at a glance

Figures come from reviews of the 2023 Fire HD 10, which Amazon says is about 25% faster than the previous generation. Ask our team to confirm the exact model year, colour and what's in the box.

Ads on the lock screen

Some versions of the Fire HD 10 are sold with ads on the lock screen at a lower price, and ad-free versions cost more. Ask our team which version we have.

What it's good for

It's a good media tablet: a sharp screen for video, stereo speakers, and Kindle and Prime Video support. It's also fine for reading, simple games and web browsing. Reviewers describe gaming performance as mixed, so it isn't a gaming tablet.

Who it's for

Readers and video watchers who want a big screen at a low price.

Families who want a shared tablet for media.

Buyers who are happy with Amazon's apps.

Fire HD 10 vs Fire HD 10 Kids Pro

The Kids Pro, also in our range, adds a kid-proof case, a two-year guarantee and a Kids+ subscription for children aged about 6 to 12. The standard model suits adults and teenagers.
