Outriders – PS5

A complete, no-strings-attached shooter-RPG — Outriders combines cover-based gunplay with devastating elemental class powers, delivered as a one-time purchase with no live-service pressure.

Product Description

Outriders was developed by People Can Fly (the Polish studio behind Bulletstorm and Gears of War: Judgment) and published by Square Enix, releasing in April 2021. It's set on the hostile, storm-ravaged planet of Enoch, where human colonists — including your Outrider protagonist — are exposed to a mysterious "Anomaly" energy that grants supernatural abilities tied to one of four classes: Trickster, Devastator, Pyromancer, or Technomancer.

The game's distinctive design rewards aggression rather than hiding in cover — taking and dealing damage both feed resource meters for your class abilities. It launched as a complete, one-time purchase title with no ongoing microtransactions or live-service season structure, and the PS5 version delivers enhanced resolution, ray tracing, and faster loading via the console's SSD.

If you enjoy Outriders' aggressive, ability-driven cover shooting, you'll also want to try Destiny 2 for a similarly deep loot-and-class system with a persistent, live-service structure; Borderlands 4 for a more humor-forward, comparably massive weapon-variety looter-shooter; and Diablo IV for another loot-driven action game with deep class-based progression.
