Cyberpunk 2077 – PS5

A dystopian open-world epic, redeemed — Cyberpunk 2077 delivers a richly detailed Night City after years of substantial post-launch overhaul and refinement.

Product Description

Cyberpunk 2077 was developed by CD Projekt Red and published by CD Projekt, originally releasing in December 2020 to a deeply troubled launch marked by significant technical issues, particularly on last-generation consoles, before extensive patching and the free Update 2.0 and paid Phantom Liberty expansion dramatically improved the game's stability, systems, and reception over the following years. Set in the sprawling, neon-soaked metropolis of Night City, it follows V, a mercenary outlaw whose life becomes entangled with the digitized consciousness of a legendary rockerboy, Johnny Silverhand.

The game combines deep RPG character-building, first-person combat blending gunplay and cybernetic hacking abilities, and an open world dense with side content and branching narrative choices. The dedicated PS5 version significantly improves on the base game's earlier console performance with ray tracing, faster load times, and DualSense haptic feedback support. By the time of the Phantom Liberty expansion and Update 2.0 in 2023, critical and community reception had turned decisively positive, with many now regarding it as one of the best open-world RPGs of its console generation despite its rocky start.
