PS5 Death Stranding 2 On the Beach

Kojima's genre-defying saga continues — Death Stranding 2: On the Beach expands the original's unique delivery-based traversal with a broader, more action-oriented sequel.

Product Description

Death Stranding 2: On the Beach was developed by Kojima Productions and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment, releasing in June 2025 as a PS5 console exclusive. It continues Sam Porter Bridges' story years after the events of the original Death Stranding, expanding beyond the fractured United States into a broader mission to reconnect isolated communities across new, larger regions, while introducing enhanced combat options and further systemic depth to the strand-based traversal and social-connectivity mechanics that defined the original.

Hideo Kojima's continued genre-defying vision blends methodical route-planning traversal, expanded vehicle and tool options, and an asynchronous multiplayer system where players indirectly assist one another by sharing structures across their individual game worlds, alongside a deeply cinematic, star-studded narrative continuing to explore themes of isolation, connection, and rebuilding society introduced in the first game.

Given its status as a recent flagship PS5 exclusive, prospective buyers should check current detailed reviews for the fullest picture of critical reception, though early response built on the strong critical foundation established by the original 2019 game.
