Cricket 22 – PS5

The official game of the Ashes rivalry — Cricket 22 delivers a comprehensive cricket simulation with licensed teams and refined bowling and fielding controls.

Product Description

Cricket 22 was developed by Australian studio Big Ant Studios and published by Nacon, releasing in December 2021 as the official video game of the 2021-22 Ashes series and the sequel to 2019's Cricket 19. It features officially licensed teams from Australia, England, the West Indies, New Zealand, and Ireland, alongside major competitions including the Ashes, Australia's Big Bash T20, England's The Hundred, and the Caribbean Premier League.

The game introduced refined bowling and fielding controls, a narrative-driven career mode, and equal representation of both men's and women's cricket throughout its full experience, alongside a star-studded commentary team featuring Michael Atherton, Ian Healy, Mel Jones, Alison Mitchell, and David Gower. On PS5, it takes advantage of next-generation hardware with faster load times and real-time ray tracing visual elements. Reception was generally positive, particularly for its accessible new-player tutorials and control refinements over its predecessor, with an "81% positive" user rating reflecting solid community reception.
