Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced – PS5

The iconic pirate adventure returns, rebuilt from the ground up — Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced brings Edward Kenway's Caribbean saga to modern hardware with stunning next-gen visuals.

Product Description

Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced was developed and published by Ubisoft, releasing on July 9, 2026. It's a full ground-up remake of the widely beloved 2013 title Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag — not a simple remaster — rebuilt entirely on the latest version of Ubisoft's Anvil engine to modernize nearly every system while preserving the spirit of Edward Kenway's original story.

The remake retains the core pirate-fantasy formula that made the original a fan favorite: naval combat aboard the Jackdaw, fluid parkour traversal, and a mix of stealth and swordplay across the Golden Age of Piracy (1715-1722). It goes beyond a visual refresh by rebuilding combat with a heavier emphasis on parries and dynamic takedowns, smoothing stealth and parkour for more fluid escapes, and introducing an entirely new physically-based water rendering system with dynamic weather, wind simulation affecting cloth and vegetation, and load-screen-free travel between major cities. New story content expands Edward's adventure with additional arcs for fan-favorite characters like Blackbeard and Stede Bonnet, plus new companion officers, sea shanties, and pets. On PS5, it supports full DualSense haptic feedback and adaptive triggers, ray-traced global illumination, a 60 FPS performance mode, and enhanced PS5 Pro visual fidelity with PSSR 2 upscaling built in.

As a very recent release, full critical consensus is still developing — but the ambition of a true ground-up rebuild (rather than a simple remaster) of one of the franchise's most celebrated entries has generated substantial anticipation among longtime fans of the original.
