Kindle 11th Gen 16GB

Genuine Amazon | 6-Inch 300 ppi Display | Up to 6 Weeks of Battery | 16GB

The Kindle (11th generation) is Amazon's entry-level e-reader, with a sharp 6-inch screen, a built-in light and weeks of battery at the lowest price in the range. Available in Kenya from Mega Store Kenya as an authentic Amazon product, this page is for readers searching "Kindle Kenya," "cheap e-reader Nairobi," "Kindle 16GB price Kenya," or "Kindle 11th generation."

Key specs at a glance

Figures come from Amazon's launch information and reviewers. Ask our team to confirm the version and what's in the box. Amazon sells this model with ads on the lock screen or without, so ask which one we have.

An honest view

Reviewers describe the entry-level Kindle as a solid, simple reader but not a major upgrade over the 2022 model. If you already own the 2022 Kindle, it isn't worth replacing. If you're buying your first e-reader, it's the cheapest way to get a 300 ppi screen and a built-in light.

What it doesn't have

Compared with the Paperwhite, the screen is smaller (6-inch against 7-inch), and the Paperwhite adds more battery life and a more premium build. Kindle models also differ in water resistance, so ask us before taking it near water.

Before you buy: your books and your account

A Kindle works best with an Amazon account. Whether you can buy books from the Kindle Store depends on your country and account settings, so ask us what works in Kenya. You can also read your own files, such as PDFs, by sending them to the Kindle.

Who it's for

First-time e-reader buyers on a budget.

Commuters and students who want a light, pocketable reader.

Anyone who wants to read without screen glare.

Kindle 11th gen vs Paperwhite

The Paperwhite, also in our range, has a bigger screen and longer battery at a higher price.
