Key specs at a glance

Figures come from Vision Plus's own product page for this model. Ask our team to confirm the exact model code, size and warranty of the unit you order.

What it's good at

It's a simple, compact microwave with digital controls. One-touch auto-cook menus take the guesswork out of common jobs such as reheating and defrosting, and 10 power levels let you cook gently or quickly. The child safety lock is useful in a home with small children.

What to know

A solo microwave has no grill, so it won't brown or crisp food. At 700 W, cooking takes a little longer than on 900 W models, and 20 litres is compact, so very large dishes won't fit.

Is this the right size

A 20 L microwave suits one to three people, students, bedsitters and offices. For a grill and a larger cavity, see the Vision Plus 25 L grill microwave in our range.

Using a microwave safely

• Never use metal or foil in a standard microwave, and don't run it empty.
• Use microwave-safe containers. Glass and ceramic are good. Some plastics warp or leach.
• Stir and rest food. Microwaves heat unevenly, so stir halfway and let food stand before eating.
• Pierce or vent foods with skins, such as eggs, potatoes and sausages, so they don't burst.
• Use a voltage guard. Power fluctuations can damage the electronics.
• Leave space around it. Keep air gaps at the back and sides for ventilation.
