The Ramtons RF/349 138L Fridge is a 138-litre refrigerator from Ramtons, a well-known household appliance brand in Kenya. Available in Kenya from Mega Store Kenya as an authentic Ramtons product, this page is for shoppers searching "Ramtons RF/349 Kenya," "138 litre fridge Nairobi," "small fridge for bedsitter Kenya," or "Ramtons fridge price Kenya".

Key details at a glance

Before you order, ask our team to confirm the cooling type (direct-cool or frost-free), the number of doors and the layout, the energy rating, the dimensions, the colour and the warranty of the unit you order. These details decide how the fridge fits your kitchen and how you use it, and they vary between Ramtons models.

Is 138 litres the right size

A 138-litre fridge suits one or two people, a bedsitter, a student room, a small office or a second fridge for drinks. As a rough guide, a household of three or more usually needs something larger. If you cook for a family or shop weekly in bulk, look at a bigger model such as the Ramtons RF/317 (243 litres) in our range.

Direct-cool or frost-free: what the difference means

Many fridges in Kenya at this price are direct-cool: they chill by natural air circulation, use less electricity and cost less, but frost builds up in the freezer and you defrost it by hand every so often. Frost-free fridges use a fan to prevent frost, so you don't defrost, but they usually cost more and use more power. Ask us which type this unit is, so there are no surprises.

Practical tips for Kenyan homes

• Use a voltage guard or surge protector. Power fluctuations and outages can damage a compressor.
• Keep the door closed during outages. A closed fridge stays cold for hours.
• Leave space around it. Most fridges need a few centimetres at the back and sides for airflow.
• Let it stand upright before switching on. After transport, wait a few hours as the manual advises.
• Check the delivery path. Measure doors, corridors and stairs before delivery.

Who it's for

Singles, couples and students.

How it compares
