The Sims 4 – PS4

The world's most popular life simulator — The Sims 4 lets you create, build, and control the lives of virtual people in richly detailed neighborhoods.

Product Description

The Sims 4 was developed by Maxis and published by Electronic Arts, originally releasing on PC in 2014, with the console version (including this PS4 release) arriving in November 2017. It's the fourth mainline entry in the long-running Sims life-simulation franchise, letting players create custom characters ("Sims"), build and design homes, and guide their Sims through relationships, careers, and everyday life events.

Compared to its PC counterpart (which has received extensive downloadable expansion and content pack support over its lifetime), this base PS4 release includes the core game — character creation, the Build/Buy mode for home design, and the core life-simulation systems — without the numerous expansion packs available separately on PC and, to varying degrees, on console platforms. The game's enduring appeal lies in its open-ended, self-directed nature: there are no fixed win conditions, and players create their own goals and stories through the characters and scenarios they build.

The Sims 4 has been consistently one of the best-selling PC game franchises of all time and maintains a large, active community; console reception was generally positive though some longtime PC Sims players noted certain UI and control adaptations for controller play took some adjustment.
