Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 – PS4

An open-world tactical sniping adventure — Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 combines long-range marksmanship with stealth and light RPG choice mechanics across a Georgian conflict zone.

Product Description

Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 was developed by CI Games (with support from Polish studio Fun Labs) and published by CI Games, releasing in April 2017. It's the fourth entry in the Sniper: Ghost Warrior series but the first to adopt a fully open-world structure, departing from the more linear, mission-based design of earlier entries.

Set in a fictionalized conflict in the Caucasus region, the game follows a CIA-trained sniper investigating his brother's disappearance amid a Russian-backed separatist conflict. Its core gameplay centers on detailed long-range ballistics — accounting for bullet drop, wind, and travel time — alongside stealth infiltration and light role-playing elements like narrative choices that affect story outcomes. The open-world structure allowed for varied approaches to missions, from careful long-range sniping to closer-quarters stealth or direct combat.

Reception at launch was mixed: reviewers praised the ambition of bringing an open world to the sniping genre and the detailed ballistics system, but many noted technical issues, bugs, and uneven mission design that fell short of the game's ambitions, with some post-launch patches improving performance over time.
