Shadow of the Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition – PS4

The complete trilogy finale — this Definitive Edition bundles the base game with all seven downloadable challenge tombs and additional content.

Product Description

The Definitive Edition of Shadow of the Tomb Raider bundles the base 2018 game with its full season pass content, including seven downloadable "Challenge Tomb" DLC packs (each adding a new optional tomb with a distinct theme and puzzle mechanic) along with additional weapons, outfits, and skill points, released as a complete package for players who want everything without purchasing content separately.

As with the standard edition, this remains the concluding chapter of the rebooted Tomb Raider trilogy that began in 2013, completing Lara Croft's arc through Central and South America as she races against the Trinity organization to prevent a self-triggered apocalypse. The Definitive Edition's added Challenge Tombs extend the game's puzzle content meaningfully, offering additional hours of the tomb-exploration gameplay that was already a particular highlight of the base release.

Reception mirrored the base game's generally positive critical response, with the added DLC content viewed as a solid value-add for players specifically drawn to the series' puzzle-tomb content, extending what critics had already praised as some of the trilogy's most elaborate optional exploration content.

Similar Games

As with the standard edition, fans of Shadow of the Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition will also enjoy Rise of the Tomb Raider for the trilogy's middle chapter; Uncharted-style titles for another puzzle-and-platforming-focused action-adventure series; and Hogwarts Legacy for a different open-world game with a similar emphasis on exploration and discovery.
