Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart – PS5

A stunning showcase of PS5's technical power — Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart delivers dimension-hopping platforming and an inventive arsenal of weapons.

Product Description

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart was developed by Insomniac Games and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment, releasing as a PS5 console exclusive in June 2021. It introduces a new playable character, Rivet, alongside series mainstays Ratchet and Clank, as a dimension-hopping villain's scheme forces the heroes to traverse parallel universes using the console's SSD to create near-instant, seamless dimensional transitions — a defining technical showcase for PS5's hardware capabilities.

The game continues the franchise's tradition of imaginative, often comedic weapons and gadgets, tight 3D platforming, and colorful, richly detailed planetary settings, with ray tracing, full DualSense haptic and adaptive trigger integration, and near-instant loading throughout. Critical reception was outstanding, winning multiple Game of the Year nominations and awards in 2021, frequently cited as one of the best technical and gameplay showcases of the PS5's launch era.
