One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3 – PS4

The chronological starting point of the modern Pirate Warriors saga — One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3 covers the story from East Blue through the Dressrosa arc.

Product Description

One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3 was developed by Omega Force and published by Bandai Namco, originally releasing in Japan in 2015 before a Western release the same year, with later re-releases (including a Deluxe Edition) bundling extra downloadable content. As the third entry in the Musou-style Pirate Warriors sub-series, it retells the One Piece story from its earliest chapters through the Dressrosa arc, giving players a chronological starting point that predates the content covered in Pirate Warriors 4.

Like its sequel, the game uses Omega Force's signature large-scale combat, where you sweep through hundreds of weaker enemy soldiers using each character's unique weapon moveset and special techniques, occasionally facing tougher story-boss encounters that require more careful play. The story mode is structured around key arcs beloved by long-time fans, including the East Blue Saga's introduction of the core Straw Hat crew and the emotionally significant Marineford War, one of the most pivotal moments in the entire manga.

Reception at the time of release was solid within its niche, with reviewers noting it as a marked improvement over Pirate Warriors 2 in terms of content volume and roster size, while acknowledging the fundamental Musou gameplay loop remains fairly simple regardless of the specific title in the sub-series.
