Nobel NB2040 Multimedia Speaker System

Genuine Nobel | Multimedia Speaker System with Subwoofer, Bluetooth

The Nobel NB2040 is a multimedia speaker system from Nobel's NB series, a range of tall-boy speaker systems with a subwoofer, made for TVs, music and gaming. Available in Kenya from Mega Store Kenya, this page is for shoppers searching "Nobel NB2040 Kenya," "Nobel multimedia speaker Nairobi," "tall boy speaker system Kenya," or "home theatre with subwoofer price Kenya".

Key specs at a glance

Nobel's NB series is described by retailers as Bluetooth speaker systems with USB, SD card, AUX and FM inputs. Less published detail is available for the NB2040 than for its sibling models. Ask our team to confirm the exact channel layout (3.1 or 5.1), the speakers in the box, the power rating and the connections before you order.

About the PMPO rating

Systems like this are advertised with very large PMPO figures, such as 22,000 W or 55,000 W. PMPO means "peak music power output", a peak figure used in marketing that has no real link to everyday loudness. A more useful number is RMS power, the power the system delivers continuously, which is far lower. One retailer lists about 200 to 220 W RMS for the NB2070. Treat PMPO as a way to compare similar Nobel models, not as a measure of sound quality.

What it's good at

The NB series is built for value: a subwoofer and tall speakers for much more bass and volume than a TV's built-in speakers, with Bluetooth, USB, SD, AUX and FM so you can play music from almost any source.

What to know

This is a budget home speaker system, not a hi-fi or a premium home theatre. Sound is bass-heavy and aimed at volume and value, and it won't be as detailed or balanced as the Sony, JBL or Hisense soundbars in our range. It's also bulky, so check floor space before you order.

Setting it up

• Place the tall speakers either side of your TV, at ear height if possible, and the subwoofer on the floor, nearby, with a little space around it.
• Connect to a TV with the AUX or RCA input. Some models also have other inputs, so ask us about your TV.
• Pair your phone by Bluetooth for music, or play files from a USB drive or SD card.
• Use a voltage guard. Power fluctuations can damage amplifiers.

Who it's for

Buyers who want loud, bass-heavy sound on a budget.

Living rooms and parties.

Gamers and movie fans who want more bass.

How it compares

The Nobel NB2070 and NB1211, also in our range, are related systems. Slimmer soundbars such as the Hisense HS1800 take less space but use fewer speakers.
