The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – PS4

Widely regarded as one of the greatest RPGs ever made — The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt delivers an enormous, richly detailed fantasy world with deeply reactive storytelling.

Product Description

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was developed and published by CD Projekt Red, releasing in May 2015, based on Andrzej Sapkowski's Witcher fantasy novel series. It follows Geralt of Rivia, a professional monster hunter (a "Witcher"), on a personal quest to find his adopted daughter Ciri while navigating a war-torn continent and the supernatural threat of the spectral Wild Hunt.

The game is frequently cited for the exceptional quality and reactivity of its writing — quest design that consistently subverts typical fantasy-RPG expectations, morally ambiguous choices with genuinely far-reaching consequences, and richly characterized side content that many critics considered stronger than the main storylines of most rival RPGs. Its open world blends dense, hand-crafted regions with a strong sense of place and folklore-inspired atmosphere, supported by two substantial story expansions — Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine — that were themselves critically acclaimed as some of the best DLC content ever produced (sold separately from the base game unless included in a specific bundled edition).

Critical reception was extraordinary, with The Witcher 3 winning numerous Game of the Year awards in 2015 and consistently appearing on "greatest games of all time" lists in the years since, credited with elevating industry expectations for narrative depth and quest design within the open-world RPG genre.
