Resident Evil 4 – PS5

A genre-defining classic, rebuilt — this Resident Evil 4 remake reconstructs the legendary 2005 original that reshaped third-person action games.

Product Description

The original Resident Evil 4 (2005) is widely credited with pioneering the modern over-the-shoulder third-person shooter template that influenced countless games afterward. This PS5 listing covers Capcom's 2023 remake, built on the RE Engine, which refines the combat, pacing, and characters of that landmark original while preserving its core identity.

The story follows U.S. agent Leon S. Kennedy, sent to a remote European village to rescue the President's kidnapped daughter, Ashley. The mission spirals into a fight against a parasite-controlled cult and grotesque bio-organic creatures. The remake substantially reworks Ashley's AI and stealth options, adds a knife-parry system for close-quarters combat, and expands several story and character beats compared to the original.
