Refurbished iPhone 13 Pro Max 1TB – 6-Month Warranty

Refurbished & Fully Tested | 6-Month Mega Store Warranty

The iPhone 13 Pro Max holds a genuine distinction: at launch, it delivered the longest battery life of any iPhone Apple had ever made — up to 28 hours of video playback. Pair that with the full Pro feature set this generation introduced (120Hz ProMotion, 3x optical zoom, macro photography, ProRes video) on the largest display Apple offered, and the maximum 1TB of storage Apple ever offered on this model, and you have arguably the most complete refurbished iPhone available in Kenya's market.

The Battery: Genuinely the Best Apple Had Ever Made

This deserves to lead, because it's the Pro Max's single most distinctive advantage. At 4,352mAh, delivering up to 28 hours of video playback, the iPhone 13 Pro Max set a record for iPhone battery endurance that stood for years.

Put in practical Kenyan terms: this is genuinely a phone you can use hard all day — navigation across Nairobi traffic, extended video calls, heavy camera use, social media, and streaming — and still have meaningful charge left by evening. For many heavy users, it comfortably stretches into a second day of moderate use.

Even accounting for the natural battery degradation of any refurbished device, the Pro Max's exceptional starting capacity means real-world endurance typically remains genuinely strong — one of the reasons this specific model holds its value so well in the used market.

120Hz ProMotion: The Upgrade You Feel Immediately

Every iPhone before this generation refreshed its display 60 times per second. The iPhone 13 Pro Max introduced ProMotion — an adaptive refresh rate that scales dynamically from 10Hz all the way up to 120Hz depending on what's on screen.

In practice: scrolling is genuinely, visibly smoother. Animations feel more fluid. Touch response feels more immediate. And because the rate drops to 10Hz when displaying static content, it achieves this without the battery penalty a fixed 120Hz panel would impose. It's the kind of improvement that's difficult to appreciate from a spec sheet but immediately obvious the moment you use the phone.

Macro Photography and 3x Optical Zoom

The iPhone 13 Pro Max's redesigned ultra-wide camera gained autofocus for the first time, enabling macro photography — focusing as close as 2 centimetres from a subject, genuine optical close-focus capability rather than a digital crop. Combined with a 3x optical telephoto (up from the previous generation's 2.5x), the total optical zoom range reaches 6x, giving genuine creative flexibility across landscapes, portraits, and detail shots.

Apple ProRes: Genuinely Professional Video Specification

Apple ProRes is a professional video codec used in genuine film and television production, preserving substantially more detail and colour information than standard compressed video. Combined with Dolby Vision HDR recording and Cinematic mode, this delivers a video specification that genuinely exceeded what most dedicated cameras could produce at the time — and ProRes footage is precisely why the generous 512GB storage on this configuration matters.

Why 1TB Exists — and Who Genuinely Needs It

Apple introduced the 1TB storage tier specifically because ProRes video recording made it necessary. ProRes preserves substantially more visual data than standard compressed video — precisely what makes it valuable for professional editing — but that fidelity carries a real storage cost. At higher resolutions, ProRes can consume several gigabytes per single minute of footage. A videographer shooting a genuine day's work in ProRes can fill a 256GB phone in a single session.

This 1TB configuration is the only tier that genuinely accommodates serious, sustained ProRes workflows. With a full terabyte, you can record extended ProRes sessions, shoot ProRAW freely alongside it, keep years of standard photos and video locally, maintain a large offline media library, and install everything you need — without ever stopping to offload files mid-shoot.

If your shooting is lighter, our 256GB or 512GB configurations will serve you comfortably. This 1TB tier is genuinely built for professionals and serious hobbyists who shoot ProRes as a regular part of their workflow.

What "Refurbished" Genuinely Means at Mega Store Kenya

Every refurbished phone we sell is fully tested before listing — display and ProMotion function, all three cameras, macro autofocus, LiDAR, sensor-shift stabilisation, speakers, microphones, charging port, buttons, Face ID, MagSafe, and battery health verified as functional. Units are clearly labelled as refurbished, never disguised as new or resealed. Every unit carries six months of Mega Store Kenya store warranty.

As covered in our guide on the reactivated phone problem in Kenya's market, used devices disguised as new are one of Kenya's biggest phone-market risks. We do the opposite: honest labelling, honest pricing, real warranty backing.

Who This Phone Is Genuinely Right For

Professional and serious hobbyist videographers who shoot ProRes as a regular part of their workflow and need genuine, sustained storage headroom.

Anyone who genuinely prioritises battery life above all else — at 28 hours of video playback, this remains one of the longest-lasting phones available at any price point.

Heavy daily users — long commutes, field work, extensive navigation, or anyone regularly away from a charger for extended periods.

Media consumers who watch substantial video, read extensively, or use their phone as a primary screen, and want ample local storage for offline content.

iPhone 13 Pro Max 1TB vs 512GB

Identical chip, cameras, display, and battery — this configuration doubles storage once more, to the maximum Apple ever offered. Choose 1TB specifically if you shoot ProRes professionally and need to record extended sessions without offloading. The 512GB configuration remains excellent for regular, non-professional ProRes and ProRAW use.

iPhone 13 Pro Max vs iPhone 13 Pro

Genuinely identical chip, cameras, and Pro features — the Pro Max offers a larger 6.7-inch display (versus 6.1-inch) and a substantially bigger battery, delivering roughly 27% more video playback time. Choose the smaller Pro for genuine one-handed usability; choose the Pro Max if maximum battery life and screen size matter more to you.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the battery genuinely as good as claimed? Yes — at 4,352mAh delivering up to 28 hours of video playback, this was the longest-lasting iPhone Apple had ever made at its launch, and it remains genuinely excellent today. Even with refurbished battery degradation, real-world endurance typically stays strong.

Do I genuinely need 1TB? Only if you shoot ProRes video seriously and regularly. ProRes can consume several gigabytes per minute at higher resolutions, and 1TB is the only tier that genuinely supports extended professional shooting without mid-session offloading. For standard photo and video use, our 256GB or 512GB configurations are more sensible.

What is ProRes, and do I need it? A professional video codec used in film and TV production, preserving far more detail and colour data for editing. If you edit video seriously, it's genuinely valuable; if you shoot and share directly, standard recording remains excellent.

Is the 6.7-inch size manageable? It's genuinely a large phone — excellent for media, photography, and reading, but not comfortable for one-handed use.

Does it support 5G in Kenya? Yes, with seamless fallback to 4G LTE where 5G isn't yet available.

Is the phone unlocked and free of iCloud lock? Yes — every unit is verified fully unlocked and iCloud-free before listing, and you're welcome to verify this with us before paying.
