Apple Pencil (2nd Generation) – Brand New

Genuine Apple | Authentic Product | For Compatible iPads

The Apple Pencil (2nd generation) is Apple's stylus for drawing, handwriting, and note-taking on compatible iPads. Available in Kenya from Mega Store Kenya as an authentic Apple product, this guide is for buyers searching "Apple Pencil 2 Kenya," "Apple Pencil for iPad Nairobi," "iPad stylus Kenya," or "Apple Pencil compatibility."

Check iPad Compatibility First

This is the most important step, because Apple Pencil models are not interchangeable. The 2nd generation Pencil works with a specific set of iPad models, generally newer iPad Pro, iPad Air, and iPad mini models that support attaching and charging the Pencil magnetically on the side of the iPad. It does not work with iPads that only support the older Pencil or the USB-C Pencil. Before buying, tell our team your iPad model and we will confirm whether the 2nd generation Pencil is the right one. This avoids the common mistake of buying the wrong Pencil.

How It Attaches and Charges

The 2nd generation Pencil attaches magnetically to a compatible iPad, where it pairs and charges wirelessly. This makes it convenient to keep with the iPad, and reduces the chance of losing it or finding it flat when you need it.

Drawing, Handwriting and Note-Taking

For students, the Pencil turns an iPad into a digital notebook, letting you write notes by hand, annotate lecture slides and PDFs, and mark up documents. For artists and designers, it offers pressure sensitivity and precise control for sketching, illustration, and design work in drawing apps. A Pencil is the main reason many people choose an iPad over a basic tablet for creative and study use.

Who the Apple Pencil (2nd Generation) Is Right For

Students who want handwritten digital notes and annotated PDFs.

Artists and illustrators working on a compatible iPad.

Professionals who mark up documents and sign forms on an iPad.

Apple Pencil 2nd Generation vs Apple Pencil USB-C

Mega Store Kenya also stocks the Apple Pencil (USB-C). The 2nd generation is designed for the iPad models that support it and includes conveniences such as magnetic charging. The USB-C version is designed for a different set of iPads. Which one you need is decided by your iPad model, so confirm with our team.
