Product details
Genuine Amazon | 10.1-Inch Full HD | Kid-Proof Case | For Ages 6 to 12
The Amazon Fire HD 10 Kids Pro is a 10-inch tablet made for children aged about 6 to 12, with a protective case, parental controls and a two-year replacement guarantee. Available in Kenya from Mega Store Kenya as an authentic Amazon product, this page is for parents searching "Fire HD 10 Kids Pro Kenya," "kids tablet Nairobi," "tablet for school children Kenya," or "Fire 10 Kids Pro price."
Read this first: no Google Play Store
This tablet runs Amazon's Fire OS and uses the Amazon Appstore, not the Google Play Store. Reviewers rate that as its main drawback. Google apps such as YouTube aren't available as native apps, and installing the Play Store is an unofficial workaround that software updates can block and that can affect parental controls. Amazon's own services, Kindle books, Prime Video and Amazon Music, work well, and the Appstore has many popular apps. Check that the apps your child needs are on the Amazon Appstore before you buy.

Kids features
Reviewers describe a simplified interface for younger children, parental controls and age filtering, and a Kids Pro version designed for older kids that gives more independence. The 2023 Kids and Kids Pro models were sold without lock screen ads.
About Amazon Kids+ and the guarantee
The Kids Pro is sold with a free year of Amazon Kids+, a children's content subscription. Availability of Amazon Kids+ varies by country, so ask us whether it works in Kenya. Ask us also how the two-year guarantee applies to units sold here.
Who it's for
Parents of children aged about 6 to 12 who want a large, sturdy tablet for reading, video and homework apps.
Families who use Kindle and Prime Video.
Fire HD 10 Kids Pro vs Fire HD 10
The standard Fire HD 10, also in our range, has the same core hardware without the kid-proof case, guarantee and Kids+ subscription, at a lower price. The Kids Pro costs more because of those extras.
