Assassin's Creed Valhalla – PS5

Raid, conquer, and build your Viking legacy — Assassin's Creed Valhalla is the largest and most ambitious entry in the franchise, set during the Viking invasion of England.

Product Description

Assassin's Creed Valhalla was developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft, releasing in November 2020. It puts you in the boots of Eivor, a fierce Viking raider leading their clan from Norway to England during the age of Viking expansion, building and growing a settlement, leading raids, and uncovering a deeper conspiracy tied to the Assassin Order's ancient origins.

As the third and final entry in the "RPG trilogy" that began with Origins and continued through Odyssey, Valhalla represents the largest open world in the franchise's history at the time of its release, combining settlement-building mechanics, deep character customization, and a lengthy main story with substantial side content and multiple expansions (including standalone story DLC set in Ireland and Paris, sold separately unless bundled in a Complete/Ultimate Edition).

Critical reception was generally very positive, with particular praise for the scale and detail of its Viking-era world and settlement-building systems, though the game's sheer length and content volume drew some criticism as potentially bloated compared to the tighter pacing of earlier trilogy entries.

If you enjoy Assassin's Creed Valhalla's expansive Viking-era open world, you'll also want to try Assassin's Creed Odyssey for the trilogy's Mediterranean/Greek predecessor; Assassin's Creed Shadows for the franchise's newest entry, set in feudal Japan; and Ghost of Tsushima for another richly detailed, combat-driven open-world adventure with strong historical atmosphere.
