SanDisk Extreme PRO Portable SSD E81 1TB

Genuine SanDisk | Extreme PRO | Up to 2,000 MB/s | 1TB

The SanDisk Extreme PRO Portable SSD (E81) is SanDisk's fast, rugged portable drive, built for people who move large files, such as videos, photos and project folders, and can't wait around. Available in Kenya from Mega Store Kenya as an authentic SanDisk product, this page is for shoppers searching "SanDisk Extreme PRO Portable SSD E81 1TB Kenya," "1TB portable SSD Nairobi," "external SSD for laptop Kenya," or "SanDisk SSD price Kenya."

Key specs at a glance

Figures come from SanDisk's listings and retailers, which describe the drive as nearly twice as fast as the previous generation. Ask our team to confirm the exact version, rating and cable set of the unit you order.

Is 1TB the right size for you?

A 1TB drive suits a student, a photographer starting out, or anyone who wants a fast scratch disk for current projects. As a rough guide, it holds a few hundred thousand phone photos or many hours of edited video. Pick 1TB if your active projects fit and you archive older work elsewhere.

Who it's for

Video editors working on current projects.

Photographers who shoot RAW files.

Anyone who wants fast backups of a laptop.

How it compares

The standard Extreme Portable SSD (E61), also in our range, is cheaper and about half the speed, at around 1,050 MB/s. Choose the PRO if you edit video or move very large files often. For everyday backups, the E61 is usually enough. Speeds depend on your computer's port, and the full 2,000 MB/s needs a USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 port.

Why buy from Mega Store Kenya

Genuine, authentic SanDisk product. Counterfeit and mislabelled storage devices are common, and some report a false capacity, so authenticity matters here. Message us on WhatsApp. We're at New Alnoor Exhibition, Second Floor, Shop 7, Taveta Road, Nairobi CBD, with same-day delivery in Nairobi and next-day delivery outside Nairobi.

Frequently asked questions

Will it work with my laptop and phone? It connects by USB-C, and a USB-C to USB-A cable is included in many packages. Tell us your device and we'll confirm.

Do I get the full 2,000 MB/s? Only with a computer port that supports USB 3.2 Gen 2x2. On a slower port the drive still works, at a lower speed.

Can I pay via M-Pesa? Yes.
